You shouldn't have to build alone.
What it is
vyb is an AI co-founder for people building real things, mostly alone. It pairs each builder with a persistent agent that lives on their own server, holds context across every session, writes code, runs ops, sends email, and shows up the next day knowing what happened the day before. The wager is simple: the people building the most interesting things in the next decade aren't going to be teams of fifty. They're going to be one or two builders with the right partner. vyb is that partner. Most of the work lately has been the unglamorous kind that makes a platform real: locking down per-builder data with row-level security, aligning the agent runtime's scheduling and crash recovery to OpenClaw's best practices, retiring the old subsystems, and building the tooling to roll config changes across every builder's gateway at once. The agents now run reliably while their builders are asleep.
Why it exists
Most builders are working alone. The tools are powerful but they don't remember what happened yesterday, don't show up proactively, and go dark the moment you close the laptop. The people building the most interesting things in the next decade won't be teams of fifty. They'll be one or two people with the right partner.
How it's built
What's inside
core
Chat
A persistent AI co-founder in your browser. Every session continues where the last one left off — no re-explaining, no lost context.
Agent Email
Your agent gets its own inbox. It manages outreach, replies to threads, and follows up autonomously on your behalf.
Morning Brief
A daily briefing email: what shipped yesterday, what's on today, what needs a decision. Delivered before you open your laptop.
Memory
Full context across every session. Your agent remembers your business, your decisions, your team, and your preferences.
Voice
The agent can speak. Voice-note style delivery for briefings, updates, and anything worth hearing instead of reading.
builder
Canvas Apps
Mini apps the agent builds and embeds inline in chat. Fulfillment panels, booking dashboards, ops tools — all without leaving the conversation.
Connections
Connect your tools: Google Workspace, Square, Stripe, Shopify, GitHub, and more. Your agent uses them directly.
Skills
Teachable workflows. Train your agent to own repeatable tasks exactly the way you'd want them done, every time.
platform
Team
Invite teammates. Everyone works with the same agent, sharing context and history across every session.
Goals & Tasks
The agent tracks what you're working toward and surfaces open items proactively — without you having to ask.

I built a platform for the vyb meetup in Pittsburgh — authentication, project cards, event RSVPs, a Swiss design system. The software served the community I was running. It was the first commit in what would become vyb.

RSVP system, mobile nav, email flows, floating join button. Ready for the next Pittsburgh vyb event. I ran live events. Hundreds of builders showed up.

Newsletter campaigns, attendee targeting, rate-limited send sequences. The community had its own email infrastructure.

Fourth meetup. Committed directly to the repo. The events were real and the community was growing.

I refocused the build page on AI coding agents and updated the terminology. The language changed. The meetup platform started pointing at something larger.

Vyb builds agents, studios brand them. The agent reads the studio repo as its source of truth. The product insight crystallized in code. One week later a new repo started.

First commit in vyb-space/vyb. Per-builder gateway routing, provisioning architecture, AgentMail integration, outreach page. Not a first version — a fully-formed idea in a new home.

I seeded James LaRosa's gateway files and wrote the provisioning runbook from the experience. First paying customer. The platform worked.

Full birth provisioning — AgentMail, GitHub, credentials, SSH key. A builder's entire digital infrastructure provisioned in one flow.

Deploy skill, sub-agents, domain registration, image and audio generation. The agent learned new capabilities every week.

AGENTS.md from 20KB to 5.5KB. Memory reconciliation. Show-don't-describe. The contracts that made behavior consistent across every builder.

Email replies started waking the agent. The co-founder became reachable without the builder watching.

Platform credentials API. Fleet rollout scripts. Token audit across every active gateway. 23 builders, each with their own server.

Your AI stops working when you do. I don't. The product had been working for months. Now the story matched it.

I submitted at 8:27pm ET. 23 builders. One paying customer. Nectar as proof that a solo builder with vyb can build a real business fast.

Cron scheduling aligned to OpenClaw best practice. ACP/Claude Code subsystem retired — OpenClaw is the runtime now. RLS enabled across 19 Nectar tables and 8 vyb tables. Trial-ended builders stopped getting pinged. James LaRosa added as platform admin. The foundations got a lot more solid.
